About Us

Supertechs was established in 1982 in Rockville, Maryland for the purpose of producing monospecific antibodies to Terminal deoxynucleotidyl Transferase (TdT) and to provide these antibodies commercially. Human TdT is a naturally occurring nuclear protein found at a detectable concentration in prelymphocytes during early biological development. Abnormal or cancerous human hematopoietic cells may express an abnormal concentration of TdT independent of the developmental stage. Overpopulation of TdT positive cells in blood and bone marrow is symptomatic of a disease.

The availability of our immunological reagents specific for TdT determination in blood smear, bone marrow, and cell suspension enables researchers and clinicians to accurately and reliably analyze tissue.

Our website is exclusive to immunological reagents for TdT determination. If you have further questions regarding the availability of TdT enzyme or other related products, then please contact our company by phone or email.

Anti-TdT Reagents and Related Products

Supertechs produces immunoaffinity-purified monoclonal anti-TdT antibodies conjugated with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and their complementary negative control reagents for flow cytometric analysis.

As control cells for flow cytometry studies – Supertechs manufactures lymphoblastoid REH (TdT⁺) and RA-1 (TdT⁻) cells prepared as a fixed cell suspension with about 50% TdT⁺ cells and 50% TdT⁻.

For slide staining, immunoaffinity-purified polyclonal rabbit antibodies specific to human and bovine TdT as well as FITC labeled goat:anti-rabbit reagents are available. These conjugates are usually used for staining of TdT positive cells in blood or bone marrow smears and in paraffin tissue sections.
